We are recruiting 2 full-time paid positions for students passionate about furthering the Mission of God by serving with us to mobilize global workers using their unique skills and gifting.

Do you have skills and interest as a Graphic Artist or a Social Media Coordinator? Our Summer Student work term is for 8 weeks beginning as early as May 1st.

Positions pay $17/hour for 35hours/week.

Job Descriptions

Graphic Artist

The Graphic Artist will assist the Mobilization Lead in developing and creating graphic story-boards, infographics and video-graphics for use in animated communications describing volunteer and employment opportunities, as well as entrepreneurial initiatives being created in Canada and Internationally. They will use artistic skills to design, draw and record graphic materials while learning project management and team based design skills. They will graphically illustrate narrative scripts to be recorded and published as still and animated motivational products.

The successful candidate will be directly supervised and participate in regular team meetings providing the opportunity to learn new career-focused skills and refine their capabilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to follow instructions, keen attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Art skills, as well as an ability to translate written ideas into graphic concepts are an essential asset.

Social Media Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator will assist the Mobilization Lead with key new initiatives. They will assist in developing, cataloguing, scheduling and tracking digital interactions for the engagement and mobilization of future partners, volunteers and employees. They will use multiple digital programs (i.e., Canva, Adobe, etc.) to design, develop, schedule and update materials, learning project management skills. They will build out multi-avenue HR Recruiting engagement plans, along with implementation and tracking analytics.

The successful candidate will be directly supervised and participate in regular team meetings providing the opportunity to learn new career-focused skills and refine their capabilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate keen attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn. Writing and graphic skills are an asset.

Camp Qwanoes on Vancouver Island is looking for more full time staff and volunteers for a variety of positions. Some roles are paid leadership roles and have a start from April 26th-September 3rd, and volunteering roles could be as little as a week in June or July.
