UCM CAMP RETREAT
SEP 18-20, 2026
Empower your University year with a weekend away!
Join us on this retreat to connect with God, make meaningful new friendships, and be equipped to live a Jesus-shaped life back on campus.
Our UCM Camp Retreat is designed for newcomer students to plug into UCM quickly and make lots of new friends. Our goal is that you leave this retreat inspired to be a disciple of Jesus and live on mission while at UBCO this year.
You will experience epic icebreaker games, small group connections, worship by the campfire, morning times for solitude and prayer, eating s'mores and other delicious camp food, time to chill on the water or go for a hike, and most importantly, gain a greater understanding of the life Jesus is calling us to live in our context.
More information below.
Guest Speaker: Rev. Dr. Todd Statham
Meet Pastor Todd — He has been a full-time campus pastor (Christian Reformed) at UBCO since 2016, after previously working as a pastor, professor, and missionary in several countries. He works with students and faculty, exploring how all things—what we study, what we research, what we imagine and hope for—‘hold together in Christ’ (Colossians 1:17). He is also the coordinating chaplain for UBCO's new Spiritual and Multifaith Services, and sometimes a sessional lecturer.
Topic: Will you not revive us again, O Lord? (Psalm 85:6)
Christians talk a lot about the Holy Spirit and ‘revival’. We’ve heard a lot about ‘revivals’ happening on different college and university campuses.
But what is revival? And what does it look like for university students? At our retreat, Todd will explore some biblical images of the Spirit’s work of renewal and revival and what that means for students’ faith, academic studies, and life on campus.
