Theme: Be Still, Be Holy, Be Dangerous
Breakout Session 1: Zombie Culture: Reaching For Our Humanity
Andy Steiger is the director of Apologetics Canada and the Young Adults Pastor at Northview Community Church. He holds an MA in Apologetics from Biola University.
These days with naturalism being haled in academia and filtering down into popular culture, Andy takes on the question: What does it mean to be human? We see this filtering effect in popular zombie movies and TV shows attempting to wrestle through issues of personhood. Andy warns of the dangers of de-humanization happening in our culture and demonstrates how Christianity restores our humanity using Genesis 1-3.
Breakout Session 2: Leadership & Gender
Kirsten Anonby holds an MA in Christian Studies from Regent College and has been a campus pastor since 1997. When not running after her two young boys, she loves to read, do art, and relax with her husband David.
What role does gender play in how, and if, we lead? Come explore both the scriptural and practical outworkings of this critical question.
