Red Frogs Peer Support Network

Our Red Frogs program is here to serve!

The Red Frogs Support Network is a program that was started out of a church in Australia almost 30 years ago when the founder, Andy Gourley, realized the need for a designated sober person at the massive drinking parties for graduating high school students. Since then, the program has been adopted by a number of campus ministry groups at Universities across Canada, including us, the UCM club at UBCO.

Our desire is to be a positive peer presence on campus by providing our harm-reduction program (hydration stations) at parties and events where students are vulnerable to drug and alcohol culture. From time to time, you’ll also see our volunteers handing out free snacks, hot chocolate, etc. around campus during stressful periods (like exam season) to get a little bit of a pick-me-up!
