Camping Retreat 2013

  • Camp Dunlop, Kelowna 5325 Lakeshore Road Kelowna, BC Canada (map)

This Camping Retreat is one of the best ways to meet a load of new friends and jump fully into this missional community called UCM. By getting away from campus for a weekend we hope to bring clarity and a Christ-centered focus to your academic year. You will experience the outdoors, times of worship by the camp fire, moments to escape for solitude and prayer, epic wide area games, delicious s'mores and other camp food, time to chill on the water or go for a hike, and a greater understanding of the life Jesus is calling us to live in our context.

Camping Retreat Signup Form

$40. Cost includes food and lodging. The registration cost can be paid for on Sunday Nights (Sept 8th or 15th) or on Thursday (Sep 19) in the old cafeteria pay Natasha (10am-Noon) or Mark (12-1pm).

We are camping and lodging at Camp Dunlop. If you'd like to camp outdoors bring your own gear or connect with other students to share a tent. There are plenty of camping spots on site. Also there are two dorm-style lodges for sleeping indoors. There are 24 spots in each bunk house. One for guys, one for girls. First come, first serve, so register early. There are showers in the main eating lodge. Bring your own towel and toiletries.

Camp Dunlop is located in South Mission of Kelowna, 40 mins from UBCO. If you are driving down on your own, below is a link to google map directions to the camp. If you need transportation please mention that on your registration form. We will arrange rides to leave campus on Friday at 6:00pm or otherwise arranged.
